Burr-Brown DACs for Full Balanced Signal Transmission
The NP-S2000 employs two high-precision Burr-Brown Digital/Analog Converters (DACs), each working in monaural mode for independent left and right stereo outputs. These are then fed into independent low-pass filters and separate, balanced transmission circuits through all stages. When connected to the balanced input of an amplifier like the Yamaha A-S2000, the freedom from transmission noise guarantees exceptionally pure, natural sound reproduction.
Fully Independent Digital/Analog Power Supplies
The NP-S2000 features two independent power supplies: one for the analog circuitry and one for the digital components, to prevent noise interference between the two. A large toroidal transformer minimizes leakage of magnetic flux for stable power, while independent left and right channel windings improve stereo separation, helping to create a broader, clearer soundstage.
